The telescope that captured the strongest signal of the moon walk and transmitted it onto television screens around the world 50 years ago was in Australia at Parkes Observatory. But there were some difficulties that had engineers concerned that the broadcast might not happen. The World’s host Marco Werman speaks with an operations scientist there, John Sarkissian, who advised the film crew of the 2000 Australian movie, “The Dish,” about what went wrong that day.
