Residents of the West African nation of The Gambia will cast ballots Saturday in the country’s first presidential election since its former authoritarian leader Yahya Jammeh was forced out of office in 2016. Sait Matty Jaw from the Center for Research and Policy Development in Banjul tells The World’s Marco Werman that Jammeh is trying to sway the vote from exile.
