Three American firefighters died while helping fight bushfires in Australia. They were flying a plane carrying fire retardant that crashed in the mountains south of Canberra. Hot and windy conditions have returned to the region, and more than 80 fires are still burning. Hundreds of firefighters from the US and Canada have helped in Australia during this devastating fire season. Host Marco Werman speaks to Joel Kerley, a firefighter in a helicopter unit from Boise, Idaho, who has just arrived back in the US after helping in Australia for the past several weeks.
