Ahead of Nicaragua’s presidential election, President Daniel Ortega has jailed most challengers

President Daniel Ortega of Nicaragua is virtually guaranteed to stay in office for a fourth consecutive term. As The World’s Jorge Valencia reports, that’s because Nicaragua’s national police forces have jailed any credible opposition leader who might challenge Ortega on voting day, next Sunday.
