It’s been almost a decade since the Obama administration implemented DACA — or Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. The program — meant to be temporary — would shield qualifying undocumented people from deportation and give them a work permit. In 2017, the Trump administration tried ending it, and court battles followed. Now, two different generations of recipients weigh in on how the program has affected them.
