A new effort recognize women painters in Spain

Here’s an art history quiz you won’t likely fail: Name a few Spanish painters or a few painters from Spain. Perhaps Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dalí come to mind. But what about female painters? If you’re drawing a blank, there’s an effort in Spain to change that by recognizing women painters who were peers of artists Picasso but don’t get nearly the same attention. Reporter Lucía Benavides has more from Spain.
