A network of water bodies on Mars raises potential for life on the Red Planet

Two years ago, scientists were shocked to find a large, watery lake beneath the Red Planet’s icy south pole. Now, the same scientists are getting a clearer picture, and have discovered not just a single lake, but a network of salty water bodies just under the surface of the planet. From her office in Rome, Italy, Roma Tre University researcher Elena Pettinelli speaks to The World’s Marco Werman about our planetary neighbor.
