 National elections kick off Thursday in India. Social media companies and officials have been trying to clamp down on fake news, disinformation and rumors. The World’s host Marco Werman speaks with Rema Rajeshwari, a police chief in the southern state of Telangana who oversees 700 villages. She’s come up with a unique, low-tech program to combat fake news in her district.
