 A group of parliamentarians from nine countries on Tuesday questioned a top Facebook executive on the company’s policies to safeguard elections and prevent the spread of disinformation and fake news around the world. Although the presence of Facebook has led to unique circumstances in different countries, representatives all seemed to agree on one thing: Facebook must be regulated by a global set of standards. The World’s Lydia Emmanouilidou tells host Marco Werman about the hearing.
