9-euro ticket to encourage Germans to take the train

Germany’s government has introduced a new 9 euro per month train ticket — about $9.60 — for the next few months. It’s supposed to encourage Germans and tourists to take the train as gas prices surge this summer. The World’s Carol Hills spoke with Jon Worth, a founder of the Trains for Europe campaign, about his excitement for the new train ticket scheme.
