400-year Mayflower anniversary

The World

This week marked 400 years since the Mayflower ship originally set sail for what would later become the United States. In Plymouth, England, on Wednesday, the US and the UK commemorated the event and launched a new vessel named after the original Mayflower. The new ship is an autonomous, solar-powered vessel that will take part in a research mission on climate change, pollution and conservation.
