It has now been 10 years since the start of the crisis in Syria. What started as a largely peaceful uprising against Syria’s President, Bashar al-Assad, quickly devolved into a war — and one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises. That violence, terror, and instability was the culmination of state-sponsored violence from the Assad regime, but it was also due, in large part, to violence and crimes against humanity committed by ISIS. Host Marco Werman speaks with Jomana Qaddour, of the Atlantic Council, about the political and humanitarian effects of the last 10 years of war in Syria.
