US looks to Africa for strategic minerals

As technologies like smart phones and electric vehicles continue to transform our lives, competition over the minerals that go into them is growing. Last month, a US Treasury official said Africa will play a bigger role in helping secure access to these minerals. This comes as countries like Kenya are seeking to grow their mining sector. The World’s Africa Correspondent Halima Gikandi reports from Embu County, Kenya.
