Canada is delaying expansion of medically assisted suicide program

Canada’s government announced this week its intention to delay the expansion of the medically assisted in dying program, known as MAID. It follows a series of hearings about whether those only with a mental illness should be allowed to seek out euthanasia. The World’s co-host Carolyn Beeler spoke with Trudo Lemmens, a law professor at the University of Toronto, about the concerns around the expansion of the MAID program.
