Largest cruise ship, ‘Icon of the Seas,’ sets sail

The Royal Caribbean line launched its 20-deck ship from Miami on Saturday. The largest cruise ship ever built runs on liquefied natural gas. LNG burns cleaner but increases methane emissions. The World’s Marco Werman spoke to Bryan Comer, director of the marine program at the International Council on Clean Transportation, about how harmful a trend toward larger ships could be for the environment.
