Nigeria’s largest city, Lagos, is banning single-use plastics

Nigeria’s largest city, Lagos, announced a ban on the use and distribution of Styrofoam and other single-use plastics this week. Similar bans have been implemented in other sub-Saharan African nations like Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania. Host Carolyn Beeler speaks with Pritish Behuria, a senior lecturer with the Global Development Institute, about the effectiveness of these plastics bans across the African continent.
