A massive explosion occurred at a commemoration ceremony for slain Iranian military leader, Qassem Soleimani in Kerman, Iran. The blast killed more than 100 people and injured over 140 others. Soleimani, a highly regarded and feared Iranian commander, was killed in an attack by the US in 2020. So far, no one has claimed responsibility for the attack. The World’s Carolyn Beeler spoke with Sina Toossi, an Iran analyst with the Center for International Policy about possible suspects in the attack as well as Iran’s strategy in the region amid the war in Gaza.
