Large spike in West Bank violence amid Gaza fighting

The World

As the fighting intensifies in the Gaza Strip between Israel and Hamas, the West Bank is simultaneously seeing an escalation of violence. Nearly 100 Palestinians have been killed in operations by the Israeli military and in settler attacks the past few weeks. Notably, Israel also carried out an airstrike on Jenin in the northern West Bank, targetting what it said was militant activity around a mosque. The World’s Marco Werman speaks with Tahani Mustafa, the Palestine analyst at the International Crisis Group, about the escalating violence and what it means for Israel and the Palestinians as the fighting continues in Gaza.
