Schools for newcomers help immigrants adjust to their 1st year in the US

When a student arrives from another country and enrolls in Guilford County Schools, in North Carolina, they spend their first year at a newcomers school. With so many new immigrants, this month, the district opened a second school. WUNC reporter Liz Schlemmer met the teachers and administrators who run this unique program, many of whom were immigrants themselves.
