Lego scraps 1st attempt at a recycled plastic toy brick

Around two years after Lego first introduced a new, low-carbon, recycled plastic prototype for their iconic brick, they’re scuttling the attempt. The new brick would have actually increased Lego’s carbon footprint. The World’s Marco Werman talks with Chris Byrne, an independent toy analyst and author who has written about the history of the toy industry and where the industry is headed when it comes to sustainability and climate change.
