At the end of the month, Slovakia holds elections that could have ramifications for the European Union and the war in Ukraine. Up to now, Slovakia has been one of Ukraine’s most staunch defenders. But topping opinion polls this week is the populist party Smer and its leader Robert Fico. The populist lawmaker has vowed not to send a single bullet to Ukraine. The World’s Orla Barry reports.
