Vietnam to TikTok: Rein in your ‘crappy’ and ‘uncultured’ content

Vietnam’s government wants TikTok to stop circulating videos it labels “useless” in their country. As in most one-party authoritarian states, it doesn’t take much to get censored in Vietnam, but so far TikTok has had free rein. Officials are hoping to change that. But as The World’s Patrick Winn reports, roughly half of all Vietnamese citizens are on TikTok, making an outright ban quite unlikely.
