An airstrike on a crowded town square in Ethiopia’s Amhara region on Sunday left at least 26 people dead. Amhara has seen fierce fighting in recent months between local militiamen and government forces over efforts to disband the militias. It is Ethiopia’s worst crisis since a civil war in the northern Tigray region ended in November.
