About 2,500 Ukrainian refugees have arrived in Iceland since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, continuing at a rate of around 200 per month. Iceland shines when it comes to helping them settle. It gives the Ukrainians nearly instant residency as refugees, on humanitarian grounds, and a host of other support. The World’s Gerry Hadden reports from the capital, Reykjavik.
