On Thursday in Oslo, the Norwegian Truth and Reconciliation Commission released its final report on how the colonial policy of forced “Norwegianization” affected Kven and Sámi minority communities. It’s the result of years of work, but minority groups say they have been kept in the dark throughout the process. From Oslo, John Last reports on the findings and the reaction from Sami communities, who have been protesting recent Norwegian interventions on their lands.
