Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, better known as Hemedti, is one of two generals locked in a death match for control of Sudan. He’s been accused of committing crimes against humanity when he helped to crush the revolt in Darfur. Yet, he has evaded international prosecution and economic sanctions — and he’s even claimed to be one of the richest men in Africa.
