More local crafts get protection in Europe in a system that irks some US producers

The European Union is expanding the system that already protects regional products, such as Italian Asiago or French Champagne. Host Carol Hills speaks with professor Pilar Montero, director of the Masters Program in Intellectual Property and Digital Innovation at the University of Alicante, Spain. They discuss Geographical Indications, how they are used to protect local products worldwide, and the significance of the new EU expansion.
