House committee asks CEOs to show they’re not using Uyghur forced labor

On Tuesday, the bipartisan House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party emailed letters to the CEOs of four apparel companies (Adidas, Nike, Shein and Temu — the latter two are Chinese ) to get them to verify whether they are in compliance with the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act, which was signed into law by President Joe Biden in December 2021. Marco Werman speaks with a member of that House Committee, Democratic Rep. Seth Moulton, of Massachusetts, to find out why the four companies were targeted.
