Saudi officials traveled to Yemen’s capital, Sana’a, on Sunday for direct talks with Houthi rebel leaders. The public nature of the Saudis’ arrival signals a new chapter in the effort to forge peace in Yemen’s long civil war. But as Osamah Al-Rawhani, executive director of the Sana’a Center for Strategic Studies, tells host Marco Werman, while Yemenis are generally exhausted by the war, few have much faith that a deal between the Saudis and the Houthis will improve their lives or even put an end to the fighting that continues in parts of the country.
