Tuesday saw another day of massive protests across France, as workers railed against raising the retirement age from 62 to 64. President Emmanuel Macron’s pension reforms would theoretically help young people, by keeping the pension system solvent. Yet, students have turned out in droves to support the older generation. Gerry Hadden travels to Toulouse, a university town in southern France, to find out why.
