The view from Russia

It’s difficult to say exactly how people in Russia feel about the war in Ukraine. Just calling the conflict a “war” is against Russian law. On top of that, the Kremlin’s narrative is hammered home daily on state-run news outlets in Russia. Despite this, The World’s Daniel Ofman says the Russian public’s understanding of the war is not monolithic.
