A recent UN report has found that an international agreement to stop using the chemicals responsible for depleting the ozone is working. The atmospheric layer that protects us from ultraviolet light is on track to be completely recovered by 2040. So, why was this unified global response a success, yet efforts to tackle the climate crisis have met so many roadblocks?
