WHO says China’s COVID data can’t be trusted

World Health Organization officials say they do not trust the COVID-19 data coming out of China right now. Murray, director of the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation in Seattle, tells The World’s Carol Hills that a new variant is not likely to be forming in China. However, he says, better reporting is needed to prevent new deadly outbreaks.
