‘That bravery is contagious’

Women’s movements in Afghanistan and Iran look to one another for support and inspiration. But they face very different challenges. The World’s Marco Werman speaks with Mahbooba Seraj, founder of the Afghan Women’s Network in Kabul, and Iranian activist Sussan Tahmasebi, who directs FEMENA, a nongovernmental organization that advocates for human rights in the Middle East, North Africa and Asia.
