China bent on ‘isolating’ and preparing for possibility of armed conflict, former Australian PM says

Kevin Rudd, a prime minister of Australia ,has been to China more than 100 times and knows leader Xi Jinping personally. Rudd listened carefully to Xi’s opening speech to the Communist Party Congress on Sunday. He tells The World’s Marco Werman that he heard in the address a warning to the West that it should be on the lookout for more military preparations in China as it anticipates possible armed conflict with the US over Taiwan.
