Meta says China tried to influence voters on US social media

China has been sowing disinformation that targets voters in the United States. That’s according to Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, which said yesterday that it is removing fake Chinese accounts connected to a coordinated effort to manipulate public debate. Host Marco Werman speaks with Kenton Thibaut, a resident China Fellow at the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Lab, about Meta’s report and what it says about China’s efforts to influence opinions in the US.
