NASA spacecraft crashes into asteroid

NASA has successfully crashed a spacecraft into an asteroid. Its Double Asteroid Redirection Test, or DART, mission has big implications because there are many asteroids out there, and the ability to change their trajectory could prevent them from crashing into Earth. The World’s host Marco Werman speaks to Cristina Thomas, an assistant professor at Northern Arizona University and Lead for the Observations Working Group for NASA’s DART mission.
