An innovation to improve road safety for Swedish drivers has won the Safety Engineering prize in this year’s Ig Nobel awards, an annual event celebrating research that makes you laugh, then makes you think. Host Carol Hills tells about the winning invention, a moose crash-test dummy used to measure how cars crumple when they collide with large animals on the road.
