Global COVID Summit tries to reenergize global pandemic response

As much as we’d like to be done, COVID-19 and the possibility of new variants are still a threat. The US alone has officially surpassed 1 million reported deaths. Cases are also up in more than 70 countries. On Thursday, the White House co-led a high-profile gathering of global leaders, to try to reenergize the pandemic response amid a growing fatigue. The World’s Elana Gordon reports on the uphill effort.
