Alaa Abdel Fattah, a British Egyptian citizen and activist currently on hunger strike in an Egyptian prison, has bid his family farewell. He’s now in his second month of his strike and claims prison authorities have tortured him. The World’s Marco Werman spoke with Sanaa Seif, his sister, about his hunger strike and the new book he’s released from prison, “You Have Not Yet Been Defeated.”
