One man, Wolodymyr Pylyshenko, in the diaspora Ukrainian community of New York, began collecting this dissident literature. His daughter, Katja Kolcio, an associate professor of dance at Wesleyan University tells the story of the archive to Gemma Ware, the host of The Conversation Weekly podcast — and why the collection is now in danger.
