Research infecting volunteers with COVID found ‘safe’ according to study

In a controlled study in the UK, 36 volunteers were deliberately infected with COVID-19 to help scientists better understand the disease. In a study out this month, yet to be peer-reviewed, researchers determined that the research methods were safe. Lead researcher at Imperial College Chris Chiu explains the research methods and findings to The World’s host Marco Werman.
