Palestinian prisoner ends hunger strikes after securing release

Palestinian prisoner Hisham Abu Hawash ended his 141-day hunger strike on Tuesday in Israel. Hawash started his hunger strike in protest of his detention without charge — a practice known as administrative detention. The World’s Carol Hills spoke with Daniella Cheslow, a reporter in Jerusalem for the AFP, about the case and Israel’s use of administrative detention policy for Palestinian prisoners.
