Cybersecurity experts say US in ‘perilous’ position after SolarWinds hack

The White House announced this week that it tapped senior national security official Anne Neuberger to head the administration’s response to a massive hacking operation that targeted several US government agencies. The appointment comes after Senate Intelligence Committee leaders in a letter accused the Biden administration of a “disjointed and disorganized response” to the so-called SolarWinds hack. Meanwhile, cybersecurity experts say both the private and public sectors need to do more to fend off cybersecurity threats. The World’s Lydia Emmanouilidou reports.
