Systemic problems in ultramarathon racing in China 

A marathon is 26 miles long. An ultramarathon is any race longer than that. When 21 runners died in an ultramarathon race in China a few weeks ago, the racing world was rocked. But as The World’s Rebecca Kanthor reports from Shanghai, even before the tragedy, runners there have been concerned about problems in the sport.
