Artist Edvard Munch’s “The Scream” is one of the most recognizable paintings in history. It’s been discussed, pored over, and gawked at for more than a century. But in the top left-hand corner lies an inscription that is barely visible to the naked eye. Now, following a series of tests, The National Museum of Norway says the words were written by the artist himself. The World’s Bianca Hillier has the story.
