US State Department designates Yemen’s Houthis as terror organization

The US State Department said it plans to designate Yemen’s Houthi rebel movement as a foreign terrorist organization. This comes only days before the end of President Donald Trump’s term and complicates peace talks between the Yemen’s government and Houthis, as well as efforts to resolve Yemen’s massive humanitarian crisis.
