A month ago, it seemed that Egypt was pretty much in control of the coronavirus, but following a sharp spike in new cases, it now has the most COVID-19-related deaths in Africa. While doctors and journalists warn of a collapse of Egypt’s health care system, the government is cracking down hard and trying to muzzle any criticism. Host Marco Werman speaks with Hussein Baoumi, an Egypt researcher at Amnesty International.
