Dana Ullman was born in San Francisco and grew up in the Pacific Northwest. She is an East Africa-based reporter and photographer working for The GroundTruth Project and the International Women’s Media Foundation.Dana's work has been published by the New York Times, TIME, CNN, The Atlantic and the Associated Press among others. In 2014, she received a grant from the Puffin Foundation to continue her project "Another Kind of Prison."Dana is available for assignments globally, especially with focus in Denmark, the US and Uganda.
