The jury made up of linguists and language experts have voted in 2011's best English loanwords. No. 1 was "shitstorm" – which has been widely used  in reference to the euro debt crisis engulfing Greece, and the massive plagiarism scandal surrounding former Defense Minister Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg, which forced him to step down.
